During the month of December, we carried out several transports into VAROPreem Refinery Lysekil, with a result that was satisfactory for all parties involved. The largest tank transported weighed approximately 65 tonnes, with a diameter of 10 metres and a height of 10 metres — an assignment that placed high demands on planning and execution.
The project has been both demanding and rewarding, involving several different elements such as marine operations, SPMT transports and complex lifts using mobile cranes. The assignment was carried out with multiple involved parties and with high requirements for safety, documentation and quality.
Nordic Crane’s ability to deliver according to plan is a clear result of competent and dedicated personnel as well as very strong collaboration with customers already during the planning phase. The weekly coordination meetings proved to be a key success factor, enabling early identification and management of challenges and risks, contributing to a safe and successful execution.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to VAROPreem Refinery Lysekil, Fluor, Verwater and Kuehne+ Nagel for their trust and excellent cooperation throughout the project.
