The recommended crane size resulting from our crane calculator is considered a guideline only, and may vary due to rig configuration, hook height, model and so on. Selection of final crane size should be done in consultation with one of our coordinators who has several years of experience in mobile crane, truck crane and transport.
Weight must include the weight of cargo, lifting gear and hook. The recommended crane size is based on general lifting capacity of mobile cranes with telescopic boom. Truss cranes will generally have a far higher lifting capacity than telescopic cranes with the same designation in lifting capacity.
